Police are looking for a suspect who assaulted two women in separate incidents Sunday morning in Minnetonka.

In the first case, a woman said she was approached by the suspect in her driveway just before 6 a.m. on the 15000 block of Wayzata Boulevard. The victim said the man grabbed her around the neck and brandished a firearm. The man ran off following a “short confrontation,” police said.

About two hours later, the suspect grabbed a woman by the shoulder and exposed himself on the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail.

Police said they conducted extensive searches of both locations but no arrests had been made as of Sunday night.

Police believe the two incidents are connected because of the close timeframe and suspect descriptions provided by the women, who both said they were confronted by a middle-aged black male dressed in a black top and sweatpants. His face was partially covered with a blue mask, police said.

Residents are encouraged to share surveillance video with police that may aid their investigation and report any suspicious activity.
