Gonzalo Jiminez-Paz Jr., 22, and Rey David Luna-Santillanes, 22, both of Minneapolis, have both been charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was found hidden in two suitcases and the heroin was stuffed inside a shoe box. A large sum of cash was also found inside a kitchen cupboard along with a bag of unidentified blue pills.
The two were apprehended at Churchill Apartments as a result of an investigation conducted by the St. Paul Police Department, the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team, the DEA, and the Minnesota State Patrol. The Churchill Apartments, where the two suspects were arrested, pride themselves on being for people with a “taste for luxury.”
Just two months earlier, Javier Francisco Nunez Moreno was arrested in West St. Paul for having 45 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a TV in his apartment along with 15.5 kilos of cocaine. It later came out that Moreno was either an illegal immigrant or possessed a phony ID from Mexico.
