Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign held an online event on Friday with former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Minnesota Sen. Patricia Torres Ray, DFL-Minneapolis.

The event was part of the movement to “advance racial equity across America,” in connection with Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan. It was hosted shortly after Biden’s campaign was called a “Trojan Horse” by President Donald Trump, a term other Republicans have applied to Biden as well.

Torres Ray has been arrested while protesting immigration laws, introduced legislation to make Minnesota a “sanctuary state,” and endorsed Keith Ellison in his run for Democratic National Committee chair.

The senator has also authored legislation to provide driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants and supports abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Torres Ray shares many ideas with political radicals like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, such as free college tuition and single-payer health care.

In 2018, she proposed cutting the Department of Defense budget by 5% in order to pay for free college education.

“This isn’t very good news for Joe Biden if he wants to avoid the appearance that he’s not a Trojan horse for the radical left considering Patricia Torres Ray’s long history of far-left, radical activism,” said Jake Schneider, a deputy rapid response director for the Trump campaign.

On the same day as the online event, President Trump’s campaign showcased a new ad called “Fringe,” which targets Biden for working with radical Democrats.

Fringe

They riot, loot and take over cities. The Radical Left has taken control of the Democrat Party. Joe Biden embraces them.
