“Oh, you gotta be kidding.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden said “Antifa is an idea, not an organization” in one of the many fiery exchanges during Tuesday night’s first debate.

“Somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left because this is not a right-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem,” said President Donald Trump.

“His own FBI director said the threat comes from white supremacists. Antifa is an idea, not an organization,” Biden replied.

“Oh, you gotta be kidding,” Trump shot back.

Meanwhile, the president faced criticism for telling the right-wing group Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”

Trump has said repeatedly that he plans to designate Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. Under his “Platinum Plan” for African Americans released last week, he said he would designate both the KKK and Antifa as terror groups.
