Multiple search warrants were executed across the south metro this morning and Alpha News has learned one in Savage was at an address traced to Somali businesses that neighbors expressed concerns about before.
The Edina police department reports that around 9 a.m. Wednesday, southwest metro SWAT teams conducted search warrants in Burnsville, Savage and Shakopee related to a July 2 shooting in Edina.

Neighbors on the 6900 block of 156th street in Savage told Alpha News they watched unmarked law enforcement vehicles sit outside for hours this morning. Several bearcat vehicles and two ambulances were also staged outside. The neighbors said at least six people were taken into custody.
Coincidentally, the Savage raid took place at an address Alpha News has reported on before.
Back in April, a neighbor spoke to Alpha News about his ongoing concerns involving the address with several high-end cars often parked on site. The home is tied to a Somali transportation and food service company.
“There’s eight homes. They’re all within a two-block radius … So, all of them were either non-emergency transportation service or in-home adult care or the food preparation and a couple of them immediately showed links to Feeding Our Future,” the neighbor said in that interview.
