Car prowlers were captured on surveillance video early in the morning Nov. 20 in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis while appearing to take an item from the trunk of a vehicle.
Surveillance video submitted to Crime Watch Minneapolis shows two people on bicycles in a parking lot of an apartment building just before 3 a.m. on the 700 block of 5th Street Southeast, an area saturated with off-campus student housing.
One party appeared to act as a lookout as the second party appeared to remove an object, possibly a suitcase, from the trunk of a vehicle. The two then left on bicycles.

Police were already in the area talking to security regarding a separate burglary incident at another building nearby and gave chase to the two suspects on bicycles, a security representative from the building told Crime Watch.
Police were able to detain one of the suspects who reportedly fell off of his bicycle while the other suspect was able to escape.
The detained suspect was initially uncooperative and gave a false name to police, the security source told Crime Watch.
Aaron Darnell Delaney, 37, of Minneapolis was eventually booked into custody on outstanding warrants for DWI, controlled substance possession, and felony theft.
No new charges appear to have been added related to last Monday’s incident at this time. Delaney made a court appearance on the active warrant cases on Tuesday and appears to remain in custody on bail amounts of $12,000 and $15,000 in the two active cases.
Minnesota court records show Delaney has two prior convictions for DWI as well as felony domestic assault by strangulation. Public records also indicate that Delaney has a lengthy history of arrests in Cook County, Ill.
