A Minneapolis homeless encampment is being ignored by city leaders despite calls from homeowners about overdoses, drug deals, and crime, they told Alpha News reporter Liz Collin.

A letter, sent to city officials from a homeowner, states that their home was broken into and thousands of dollars of items were stolen. The homeowner says they found their belongings inside the homeless encampment without any assistance from local law enforcement, despite calling Minneapolis police.

“It’s not safe,” the letter reads.
