Last weekend Monticello hosted the Republican State Central Committee Meeting. Prior to this event news broke that Minnesota is sitting on another large surplus, this time projected to $1.87 billion. So what do local Republican activists want done with the surplus? Several said it should go back to the taxpayers, and pay down the debt. Many suggested not having a bonding bill this year.
