Congressman Doug Collins, Key Republican Leader during the Mueller Hearings, to Speak in MN

Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) is coming to Minnesota to speak at the Congressional District 2 Republicans' Reagan Dinner on September 4th.

Doug Collins

Congressman Doug Collins is the keynote speaker at the Congressional District 2 Republicans’ Reagan Dinner that is scheduled for September 4th at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville at 6 PM. Past congressman Jason Lewis will also be speaking at the dinner.

Collins is the only chaplain in the United States Congress and he has past experience serving in the United States Air Force Reserve as a Chaplain. He is a key supporter of religious liberty and fights to preserve that in congress.

Collins led the Republican movement against Mueller as the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee. Collins asked Mueller if “conspiracy” and “collusion” were colloquially the same thing, to which Mueller replied “No.” Collins followed up by reading Mueller’s own report that stated otherwise. It read, “As defined in legal dictionaries, collusion is largely synonymous with conspiracy as that crime is set forth in the general federal conspiracy statute.”

Collins made many powerful statements during the Mueller hearings. In one statement, he called out Democrats for wasting time by having multiple hearings regarding the Mueller investigation that delivered absolutely no results. “Dehumanizing is taking people you say you care about but doing nothing for them. That’s dehumanizing. Competent and capable? The last time I understood Congress should pass legislation. I’ll be very slow. Pass bills that matter. Don’t have hearings that are simply stunts,” he said

Registration for the Congressional District 2 Republicans Reagan dinner, set to take place on September 4th at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville at 6 PM, can be found here.
