Fr. Altman: Repent and stay on God’s narrow road

"The wounds of life begin to heal when all of us have the humility to say I'm sorry," says Altman.

Healing begins with contrition, Fr. James Altman emphasizes in a new video for the Alpha Faith series.

“The wounds of life begin to heal when all of us have the humility to say I’m sorry,” says Altman. “As a confessor, I can tell you the brokenness, the woundedness, the heartache is present in every man, woman, boy and girl.”

Altman says “we all have driven off that narrow road,” even though Jesus “painted the lines of the narrow road very clearly.”

“Do not succumb to the temptation of the heretics in the Church who are trying to blur those lines that Jesus painted. These days, they’re everywhere. Like a great pope said, the greatest sin of the last century was the loss of the sense of sin,” he continued. “Bad shepherds blurred the lines and nowadays bad shepherds won’t paint the lines.”
