Four people from the Twin Cities were found shot to death in a Dunn County, Wisconsin, cornfield last week, and two people are now in custody in connection to the murders.

Darren Lee McWright, 56, was taken into custody by St. Paul police on Wednesday night. McWright is also known by the last name of Osborne, police said.

Police named a second man, Antoine Darnique Suggs, 38, who was also wanted in connection to the slayings. Suggs turned himself in to police in Gilbert, Arizona, on Friday.

The two suspects have been reported to be father and son.

The four victims were found by a farmer last Sunday afternoon in an abandoned black SUV that was driven into a standing cornfield off of a rural road in Sheridan, Wisconsin, according to an early press release by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office. An initial press release about the death investigation had asked the public for any information about a person possibly walking in the area and asking for a ride.

The victims, who were reported to be friends, were subsequently identified as Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, 30, of Stillwater, Minnesota, Matthew Isiah Pettus, 26, Loyace Foreman III, 35, and Jasmine Christine Sturm, 30, all from Saint Paul. Pettus and Sturm were brother and sister.

Information from Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd stated that the four victims did not appear to have any connection to Dunn County.

Witnesses reported seeing Flug-Presley with Suggs at a St. Paul bar the night before the bodies were discovered. One witness saw Flug-Presley buy a shot of tequila and hand it to Suggs, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Flug-Presley’s aunt stated that her niece had a “thing” with Suggs and he would fly in from Arizona to see her, the report said.

A motive has not yet been revealed for the killings.

McWright has been charged in Dunn County with four counts of hiding a corpse. Suggs is expected to be extradited to Wisconsin to face charges.

Minnesota court records show that Suggs is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms.

McWright has open cases in Minnesota for third-degree assault, fifth-degree assault and other charges and was wanted on several warrants in the cases at the time of the murders.

The St. Paul Police Department announced Monday afternoon that it will be taking over the case and revealed that the four victims were killed in St. Paul.
