Former DFL Rep. Jason Metsa arrested on felony sexual conduct charge

Former Iron Range Democratic State Rep. Jason Metsa, 43, was booked into St. Louis County Jail on Saturday morning on a probable cause charge of felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving force or coercion.

There were no details immediately available regarding the circumstances of the allegation. Jail records show Metsa was booked at 11:48 a.m.

Metsa served as District 06B’s representative from 2013 to 2018, and is a former deputy commissioner for the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB).
