Minnesotan Senator Amy Klobuchar has proven her ambitions as a politician. But the integrity of her policies are now coming to light with the rest of the nation’s media catching up as well.
Back in 2006, Klobuchar was very clear about her issues with illegal immigration.

Here is a transcript of Amy’s stance:
“I do believe that we need more resources at the border and that includes a fence. What we have now, we have people waiting to come in legally. Thousands of people waiting to come in legally into this country, and we have people coming in illegally. That’s not right. We need to get order at the border. We also have to stop giving amnesty to companies that hire illegal immigrants… Finally, I believe that we need to give people who have been in this country for a number of years, who are willing to pay their taxes, who are willing to learn English, who are willing to pay the fines, the chance for earned citizenship.”
Fast forward to 2020, and Klobuchar’s ideas on immigration have drastically shifted. During a June 2019 debate, not only did Klobuchar express interest in decriminalizing borders, but she skipped out on a Senate vote on an aid package to the southern border to campaign in front of a detention center.
Klobuchar has also been critical of President Trump’s attempts to secure the border with a wall. Meanwhile, while the rest of her colleagues supported taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants, Klobuchar declined to respond to the Washington Post or the New York Times.
Bernie Sanders also waffled from his previously strong-held conviction on immigration. From a 2015 interview with Vox, Sanders was quoted saying “Open borders?” he interjected. “No, that’s a Koch brothers proposal.”
From his standpoint, Sanders thought widespread immigration was a right-wing scheme meant to flood the US with cheap labor and depress wages for native-born workers. He went on to say, “I think from a moral responsibility, we’ve got to work with the rest of the industrialized world to address the problems of international poverty,” Bernie admitted, “but you don’t do that by making people in this country even poorer.”
Senator Amy Klobuchar, like her Democratic colleague Bernie Sanders, has flip-flopped extensively on the issue of immigration to please the current narrative. Back when the Democratic party was sticking to its roots in actually promoting the dignity and welfare of the American working people – the true Democratic Farmer Labor party – these nationalist policies made sense. Now, the woke Left has taken over the Democratic agenda and politicians are showing their true colors by spouting party-approved platitudes in efforts to get into the good graces of the progressive masses.
