Rioters outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department threw a water bottle at a CNN crew member’s head Wednesday night and then laughed as he fell to the ground.
“A bottle of water knocked you out?” one person says while laughing at the man.
“He needs a medic for a water bottle?” another person in the crowd can be heard saying after one protester attempted to summon a medic.
The crowd then chased CNN reporter Miguel Marquez and his team back to their car and forced them to leave the protest. Some protesters threw eggs at their vehicle while they drove away.

According to Washington Examiner reporter Nicholas Rowan, protesters lobbed water bottles and trash at the CNN crew while they left the scene. At a press conference this week, law enforcement leaders displayed some of the items that have been thrown at police officers, including bricks, rocks, glass bottles, traffic signs and more.
Wednesday night was the fourth consecutive night of demonstrations in response to the death of Daunte Wright, who was shot Sunday by former Brooklyn Center officer Kim Potter. Potter was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with second-degree manslaughter.
Body-camera video from the incident shows Wright resisted arrest and attempted to flee the scene.
