Campaign Against Target Bathroom Policy Drives Forward

Today Life Site News and the Child Protection League teamed up at the State Legislature to announce their new “traveling billboard” campaign against Target. The groups are arguing against Target’s new policy to allow customers to use the bathroom according to the gender they identify with, rather than their biological sex at birth.

Using an ad on the side of a semi-truck, the group hopes to educate Minnesotans across the state about their concerns, stating that this is not an attack against the LGBT community, but is an attack on the policy opening doors for predators.

Representative Glenn Gruenhagen spoke at the press conference about his bill related to this issue, saying that his “Constitutional Right to Public Privacy and Safety” bill would make it so that no employer, public school or university would “permit access to restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms, and other similarly places on any basis other than biological sex.”
Representative Gruenhagen said that in the final days of session that the chances of a vote happening on his bill are, “rather remote.”
