Dayton Joins Other Minnesota Politicians In His Criticisms of Trump
St. Paul, MN – Gov. Mark Dayton (D) took to Facebook yesterday to criticize President Donald Trump.
Dayton criticized Trump’s National Security Council appointment Steven Bannon. Chief Strategist Bannon was given a top spot on the Principals Committee, ousting members like the director of national intelligence. Dayton chastised this move, calling it and other recent decisions “Stone Cold Crazy.”
Dayton took another shot at Trump as the news broke about acting Attorney General Sally Yates.
Yates came under fire yesterday after telling government lawyers to disregard Trump’s executive order suspending travel from seven countries. Yates was fired Monday evening.
Dayton stood up for the Attorney General, called Yates’ actions “Profiles in Courage.”
Dayton joins the growing list of Minnesota politicians criticizing the decisions of the new administration. As Alpha News reported, Senators Al Franken (D-MN) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) held a press conference Sunday morning to slam Trump’s recent executive order on immigration and refugees.
