Minnesota DFL Rep. Brion Curran, a first-term legislator who serves on the House Public Safety Committee, was arrested Monday on suspicion of drunk driving.
Fox 9 first reported on Curran’s arrest, noting that the incident happened early Monday. Curran was booked on a gross misdemeanor charge of third-degree DWI, according to records from the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office.
No citation or charging documents have been filed yet. Alpha News reached out to Curran for comment. This story will be updated if she responds.
Curran is a former law enforcement officer from Vadnais Heights who represents House District 36B.
Curran is the third state legislator to be arrested for drunk driving this year. The other two are Rep. Dan Wolgamott, DFL-St. Cloud, and Rep. Matt Grossell, R-Clearbrook.
