Alpha News obtained exclusive video of Attorney General Keith Ellison not clapping for veterans as they arrived on an Honor Flight to visit memorials in Washington, D.C.
The video was captured at Reagan National Airport on Sept. 26, just after the honor flight landed. Airline workers were announcing some veterans by name as they arrived—yet as the bystander video shows, Attorney General Ellison was not clapping.
The bystander who recorded the video is from Minnesota and recognized Ellison. Wanting to remain anonymous, the bystander said Attorney General Ellison’s response—or lack of response and applause—seemed strange, which is why the bystander said they started recording Ellison in the first place.
The clapping went on for several minutes and at no time did they see Attorney General Ellison clap, the bystander said.
The bystander told Alpha News that, “For a period of no less than five minutes while several veterans exited the plane to applause, I did not once see Mr. Ellison clap at all. What the hell is with this guy?”
According to Honor Flight Network records, an Honor Flight with 60 veterans from South Willamette Valley, Ore., landed around 3:30 that day. The veterans had just landed in Washington, D.C., for a three-day trip to visit memorial sites.
Alpha News reached out to Attorney General Ellison’s office for comment, but did not receive a response.
