While thousands of Minnesotans rallied in support of Trump yesterday at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, FBI Director James Comey announced that the FBI had reviewed Hillary Clinton’s 650,000 emails found during another investigation (Anthony Weiner sexting case), and had determined that the FBI’s July conclusions had not changed.

Republican National Committee Chairman, Reince Preibus, released the following statement regarding the FBI Director’s decision:
“The FBI’s findings from its criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton’s secret email server were a damning and unprecedented indictment of her judgment. The FBI found evidence Clinton broke the law, that she placed highly classified national security information at risk and repeatedly lied to the American people about her reckless conduct. None of this changes the fact that the FBI continues to investigate the Clinton Foundation for corruption involving her tenure as secretary of state. Hillary Clinton should never be president.”
Minnesota Senator Al Franken (D) had a different opinion, saying that the FBI director should be subjected to senate hearings during a CNN “State of the Union” interview:
“I think that there should be hearings, and I’m certain there will be hearings in the Judiciary Committee on this matter.
Even more troubling is what we’ve heard from sort of the rogue elements of the FBI seemingly tipping off former (New York City) Mayor (Rudy) Giuliani that something was up. I mean, it just seems like — that’s not the FBI. We will have hearings. I’m sure that FBI Director Comey will be before us,” Franken said. “I think he should be able to answer questions about this, and he should be able to control the FBI.” ~ CNN.com
