The Twin Cities chapter of the national, left-wing group Indivisible has promoted weekly protests at local Tesla dealerships that took place this month.
“Deport criminal migrant billionaires,” one protester’s sign read at a March 22 protest near the Golden Valley Tesla dealership. Other protesters held signs which used the Tesla and X logos to depict Adolf Hitler. Tesla and X are run by Elon Musk, a staunch ally of President Donald Trump and the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
“Our #IndivisibleTwinCities crew joined other hardy Minnesotans for the #TeslaTakeDown protest at the Maplewood, Minnesota #Tesla dealership,” a Facebook post from Indivisible Twin Cities reads.
Protests at Minnesota Tesla dealerships have been recurring over the last several weeks.
An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.
ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman,…

Local radio show host Jon Justice went to the Maplewood Tesla dealership while protesters were present earlier this month.
“I ended up test driving an @Tesla @cybertruck at the protest in Maplewood and it was the most amazing piece of technology I’ve ever operated,” Justice wrote on X. “As I arrived back at the dealership all the protesters were leaving, blocking me in the road, yelling and flipping me off.”
Photos from a protest outside the Golden Valley Tesla store show dozens of protesters holding signs along a street near the dealership. The individual who uploaded the photos said a protest happens every Saturday at the store from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tesla protests, and instances of criminal damage to Tesla vehicles, have occurred in recent weeks as left-wing groups have expressed sustained outrage at Musk for his actions as the head of DOGE. An effort to find savings and efficiencies in the federal government, DOGE has recommended spending cuts and workforce cuts.
Recently, the Bloomington Police Department in Minnesota identified an individual who allegedly vandalized a Tesla.

A Business Insider reporter attended two recent “Tesla Takedown” protests in Michigan and observed that the participants were “primarily people over the age of 65, white, and retired from jobs that depended on public funding.”
Musk addressed the vitriol directed at him and his companies during a town hall in Green Bay, Wis., over the weekend, saying the left has “gone psycho.” U.S. Senate Democrats blocked a resolution last week to condemn the “acts of violence, arson, and domestic terrorism committed against Tesla properties.”
In addition to promoting the Tesla protests, local Indivisible chapters are helping to organize a larger protest at the Minnesota State Capitol which is called “Hands Off!” The event, which is planned for April 5, is part of a national campaign of protests in all 50 states.
According to an event listing on Facebook, the rally at the Minnesota State Capitol is part of “a national mass activation in defiance of the Trump-Musk billionaire takeover and the assault on our freedoms and our communities.”
“Indivisible Twin Cities, a local chapter of national Indivisible, is a grassroots group of volunteers dedicated to increasing civic engagement and education on progressive policies at the city, state and national level,” Indivisible’s website reads. Their values include “defeating the MAGA authoritarian agenda.”
Indivisible is reportedly behind protests against DOGE in congressional districts held by Republicans. According to The Washington Free Beacon, Indivisible has received $8 million from billionaire George Soros since 2017.
