BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Rep. Jason Lewis hosted a Career and Technical Education roundtable discussion Wednesday, highlighting the importance of technical education for young people in the current business climate.
“Connecting young people with 21st Century job experience is a great way to get students on the track to succeed in filling much-needed, technical jobs,” Lewis said. “As a proponent of CTE programs, it’s great to come together with people and organizations in the Second District that either provide training or support to those interested in skilled jobs.”
“Employers are looking to hire technically skilled workers, and we can start bridging the current skills gap in our country through expanded CTE programming,” Lewis said.
