A 22-year-old man is facing a felony charge of first-degree drug sales after law enforcement found over 144 pounds of methamphetamine in his St. Louis Park, Minn., apartment during a search warrant.

Charges filed in Hennepin County District Court last week against Jose Manuel Jimenez-Zamorano say that on Oct. 1, 2025, law enforcement officers with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office West Metro Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant in an apartment on the 2500 block of Nevada Avenue South. The target of the investigation was Jimenez-Zamorano, but he was not present at the time.

Investigators had determined that Jimenez-Zamorano was listed as the tenant of the unit and was tied to the premises during pre-warrant surveillance.

Following a systematic search of the apartment, law enforcement located a large quantity of methamphetamine in a tote in the southwest bedroom. There was also a mailer in Jimenez-Zamorano’s name in the tote. There were also two suitcases with more methamphetamine in the bedroom closet, along with additional narcotics packaging.

In total, law enforcement recovered approximately 144.3 pounds of methamphetamine, which the charging document noted is significantly more than a personal use amount and indicates intent to sell.

A female who was on site at the apartment confirmed that Jimenez-Zamorano lived in the apartment and used the bedroom where the drugs were found.

Jimenez-Zamorano was arrested on the warrant Tuesday afternoon and made his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon. Jimenez-Zamorano requested a language interpreter for proceedings and was granted a public defender.

Jimenez-Zamorano is being held on $2 million bail and his next court appearance is scheduled for April 13. He does not appear to have any prior criminal history in Minnesota.
