Minneapolis police responded to what they called a “Dukes of Hazzard mishap” Monday morning, according to dispatch audio reviewed by Crime Watch Minneapolis.
In a statement, the police department said officers responded to a report of a crash in a driveway on the 4200 block of Oakland Avenue South at 8:34 a.m. Monday morning.
Responding officers located a two-door red Nissan flipped upside down on top of two parked vehicles. Crime Watch Minneapolis released additional photos of the crash.
“It is believed that around 2:30 this morning, the Nissan was travelling at a high rate of speed and hit an area of ice and lost control, sending the vehicle airborne,” the department said.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, according to police. The Minneapolis Police Traffic Unit is now investigating.
