Walz's fundraising text urged supporters to "raise some hell" because President "Donald Trump and his MAGA henchmen aren't going to go away willingly."

Gov. Tim Walz sent a fundraising pitch via text message Friday urging his supporters to “raise some hell” because President “Donald Trump and his MAGA henchmen aren’t going to go away willingly.”

The two-term Democratic governor continues to send mixed signals as to whether he will seek a rare third term as governor in Minnesota. Many have also speculated that Walz could run for the White House in 2028, though he insists he’s “not interested.”

The fundraising text sent Friday linked to a Democratic Governors Association survey and donation page.

Over the weekend, Republican critics chided Walz for using more “inflammatory rhetoric” following the assassination of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband last month, and the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump just more than one year ago. Walz said he would “ratchet down” and “be more thoughtful” with his rhetoric following Hortman’s death.

“Governor Walz’s latest fundraising message deserves to be called out,” Alex Plechash, chairman of the Republican Party of Minnesota, said in a statement to Alpha News. “[Walz] hides behind inflammatory rhetoric because he has nothing of substance to offer Minnesotans. This isn’t just irresponsible—it’s dangerous.”

Plechash added that a “majority of Minnesotans are tired of his act—and so am I.”

Earlier this year, Walz was widely criticized for remarks he made during a law school graduation speech when he called federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Trump’s “Gestapo.” In another speech, he urged Democrats to “bully the s– out of” Trump.

“Ever since Donald Trump took office in January, he’s been wreaking havoc on our nation,” Walz’s fundraiser text said.

It then alleged that Trump “is coming for your Social Security, he’s jacking up prices on everyone and he’s making it harder and harder for children to get a good education.”

“Donald Trump and his MAGA henchmen aren’t going to go away willingly. That’s why it’s time to get up, get loud and raise some hell,” Walz concluded.

Alpha News reached out to the governor’s office and campaign for comment but has yet to receive a response.
