“Super Tuesday” is tomorrow, March 1: the day when Minnesota ( 38 delegates), along with Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Colorado, Alaska and Wyoming will hold either presidential election primaries or caucuses with the five remaining GOP candidates fighting for 600 delegates to add to their “delegate coffers” in the hopes of reaching 1,237 – the number needed to secure the GOP nomination. Current delegate totals for each candidate are: Trump – 82, Cruz – 17, Rubio – 16, Kasich – 6, and Carson – 4.
Calling Minnesota the “true wild card” of Super Tuesday, Politico is reporting that due to Trump’s late organization in Minnesota, Rubio and Cruz are in a “statistical tie” with the current GOP front runner, with Breitbart reporting Rubio (23%) as having a small lead over both Cruz (21%) and Trump (18%).
Hoping to fire up supporters or firm up those still undecided on which candidate they will support, both Rubio and Cruz supporters will be holding rallies in Minnesota before Tuesday’s caucuses.
Radio talk show host and The Blaze founder, Glenn Beck, is joining Courageous Conservatives in supporting Ted Cruz on Monday, February 29 at the Minneapolis Hilton at 7pm. Hosted by Keep The Promise PAC, doors will open at 6pm. The event is free, but all attendees must have a ticket to enter. To register, click here.
Marco Rubio held a rally in Minneapolis on February 23. He will be back in Minnesota on March 1 for another rally at the Courtyards of Andover at 12:30pm. Doors open at 11:30. Like the Cruz rally, it is a free event, but all adults over age 12 must register. For more information, click here.
