Leftwing HeightsNEXT is bragging on social media about receiving a Senate Resolution signed by Republican Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka recognizing their contributions to the “LGBTIQ+” community in Columbia Heights.

Specifically, the resolution signed by Gazelka gives recognition to HeightsNEXT for organizing the first-ever PRIDE event in Columbia Heights.

Besides advocating for LGBTIQ+ issues, HeightsNext lobbies and organizes for various leftwing causes and features Climate Change Hero Greta Thunberg on the front page of their official website.

Some of the suggestions that HeightsNEXT gives to combat climate change include

  • Stop using plastic soda straws. Metal ones are great!
  • Cut down on meat consumption. The production, processing and distribution of meat requires huge outlays of pesticides, fertilizer, fuel, feed and water while releasing greenhouse gases, manure and a range of toxic chemicals into our air and water.
  • Be aware of the chemicals in your cleaning products. Choose environmentally friendly concentrated products, which often work just as well or even better than the products we grew up with. This is especially true for laundry detergent. Stay away from detergents containing phosphates.
  • Limit laundry to cold or warm water, and if it’s a nice day, hang your clothes on a clothesline to dry.
The resolution is also signed by Demcorat Carolyn Laine who represents Columbia Heights.

Editors Note: Previous version of the article incorrectly identified the city is Mendora Heights instead of Columbia Heights
