In joining Trump Victory, voters in Craig’s district have joined the constituents of other vulnerable Democrats in Minnesota and across the country in calling on their representatives to stop listening to Nancy Pelosi and the DC Democrats and focus on the issues that matter most to the folks who voted them in.
Ever since Angie Craig voted with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the Impeachment inquiry, a steady showing of people have been standing in cold Minnesota weather, voicing their dismay at her stand on impeachment.
The Chair of Minnesota’s GOP Second Congressional District Jeff Schuette led the peaceful protest. “We came to Angie Craig’s office because we want her to support the issues that matter most to us, not the folks in Washington, as a voter in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, I know that there are several issues that are extremely important to those in district. We want to see alternatives to an Obamacare plan that made premiums unbearable for families and see USMCA passed for farmers in the southern half of the district. We want to see real reform, but Angie Craig has done nothing for us.”
Recently, the RNC debuted a new website, StopTheMadness.gop, which operates as a one-stop clearing house to defend the president– including opportunities for people to sign up as a volunteer, details on how to show up to a counter-protest, and more. A $10.3 million TV and digital buy is also part of the nationwide push against 60+ vulnerable Democrats who campaigned on reaching across the aisle to work with President Trump – including targeting Reps. Angie Craig and Collin Peterson in Minnesota.
“This is a district that supported President Trump in 2016, yet Angie Craig continues to side with Nancy Pelosi and DC Democrats over issues like impeachment,” Schuette notes. “However, this isn’t new to us. Angie Craig ran, not to work with President Trump, but to work against him – and she’s done so from day one.”
