The Muslim Brotherhood’s official propaganda site recently praised Rep. Ilhan Omar and some of her Democratic colleagues for their anti-Israel remarks.

An article in Ikhwan Online commends Omar for urging her “government to try stopping the violence of the occupation forces against the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank,” according to the Washington Free Beacon, which independently translated the article.

The article explicitly names Omar as well as Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and others.

The Brotherhood, a designated foreign terrorist organization in several countries, published its article amid the escalating violence between Israel and Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

Throughout her tenure in Congress, Omar has been a staunch critic of Israel and has even been accused of making anti-Semitic remarks.

Most recently, she accused Israel of “acts of terrorism” when it defended itself last week against Hamas’ airstrikes.

Several Republicans slammed Omar for her comments, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who said the Minnesota congresswoman was “acting as a press secretary” for Hamas.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said Omar “is out of her mind” in an interview on Fox News last week.

President Joe Biden’s administration has defended Israel’s right to defend itself, creating a rift between himself and the progressive wing of his party.
