‘MyPillow Guy’ Mike Lindell is putting $1 million towards a new pro-life movie from the makers of “God’s Not Dead.”
“I don’t get into things for the money; I get into them if the message is right,” Lindell said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Lindell is the inventor and CEO of MyPillow, which is headquartered in Chanhassen, Minnesota. With a net worth of around $300 million, Lindell told The Hollywood Reporter he will spend more of his fortune on other projects that reflects his conservative values.
Lindell invested $1 million into “Unplanned,” a pro-life movie that takes a critical look at Planned Parenthood. The film focuses on former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson’s transformation to a pro-life activists. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lindell also has a cameo in the movie where he bulldozes a Planned Parenthood clinic to make room for a pro-life group’s headquarters.
Lindell, a former cocaine and alcohol addict, has been an outspoken conservative and a proud supporter of President Donald Trump. During a rally in North Dakota this summer, Trump gave Lindell a shoutout for supporting the campaign “right from the beginning.” Lindell has taken heat for his support of the president, but shows no sign of wavering saying there “was no better man in this world” for the job.
“I’ve prayed about everything I’ve done,” Lindell told The Hollywood Reporter. “I met Donald Trump before he was president and I didn’t know a thing about politics. I walked out of his office thinking there was no better man in this world that I would like to be my president.”
