Omar calls GOP congresswoman ‘deprived person’ who ‘defecates’ the House

She likely meant to call her a "depraved person" who "desecrates" the House.

Rep. Ilhan Omar appeared to misuse the English language in an attempt to hit back at a Republican colleague.

On Wednesday Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, a freshman member of Congress, took the opportunity to blast some of her colleagues after the House voted to censure Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona and strip him of his committee assignments.

One of Gosar’s Twitter accounts had retweeted a doctored anime clip depicting him slaying Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, though according to House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy he “didn’t see it before it posted.”

In her brief remarks Boebert singled out Omar first, calling her a “jihad squad member” and criticizing a $1.1 million campaign fund payment to her husband’s consulting firm.

“Not her brother-husband, the other husband,” she quipped, adding that Omar “is allowed on the Foreign Affairs Committee while praising terrorists.”

In response, Omar blasted Boebert as an “insurrectionist,” called her husband a “pervert,” and implied that Boebert’s parents did not raise her as well as Omar’s parents raised herself.

But it was the next sentence of her Wednesday evening tweet that may have softened the blow. Omar mistakenly called Boebert a “deprived person who shamefully defecates and defiles the House of Representatives,” when she likely meant to call her a “depraved person” who “desecrates” the House.

Boebert’s criticism also extended to Rep. Eric Swalwell of California for his links to Christine Fang, an alleged Chinese spy. Although he severed ties with Fang after federal authorities relayed information about her, some conservatives on social media have spread the rumor that Swalwell may have had sexual intercourse with her.

“My colleague and three-month presidential candidate from California, who is on the Intelligence Committee, slept with Fang Fang, a Chinese spy. Let me say that again. A member of Congress who receives classified briefings was sleeping with the enemy. This is unacceptable,” Boebert managed to claim before getting cut off.
