A poster on how to have “partnered sex during a pandemic” encourages students at St. Olaf College to “avoid kissing” and “wear a mask during sexual activity.”
“Use barrier protection like internal/external condoms, as well as dental dams,” states another tip on how to “lower risk of transmission during partnered sex.”
Alpha News was provided with a picture of one of the posters, which are hanging in the bathrooms at the St. Olaf College library in Northfield, Minnesota. A source said the school produces a new health and wellness flyer like the one pictured below every few weeks.
“Remember to wash your hands and your sex toys (before and after sex) with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds,” says the poster. Another bullet point on the flyer advises students to clean any surfaces where they have had sex with “warm water and soap, alcohol wipes, or an antibacterial spray.”
The flyer also urges students to have conversations with their roommates “about what each person is comfortable with since you are sharing a space.”
“If you need private time to the room, communicate with your roommate when you will need it and how much time you need the room for,” it says.
St. Olaf was founded in 1874 by a “group of pioneer pastors” and remains affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
