Hundreds of protesters are gathering in downtown St. Paul tonight to protest the victory of Donald Trump as president.

Because of the protest, Metro Transit will be limiting service on the Green Line light rail and will not travel any further than the Robert Street Station, according to KSTP-TV.

Initial reports are that it is a peaceful protest, although WCCO reports that it appears that one of the protesters burned what appears to be a flag.

The website Complex wrote about tonight’s planned protests, saying, “After America made terrifying history by electing a demagogue who campaigned by uniting White America against Mexicans, Muslims, African Americans, and more “others” while doing little to hide his disdain for women, you may be wondering what to do now.”

Anti-Trump protests are being planned across the country in other US cities including Albuquerque, Atlanta, Boston, Burlington, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Eugene, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Ithaca, Las Vegas, Lincoln, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City, Oakland, Philadelphia, Portland, Providence, Richmond, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Seattle, St. Louis, Syracuse, Tallahassee, Tampa Bay and Washington, D.C.
