Police are investigating after a man was shot dead at a Burnsville hotel Friday evening.
The fatal shooting took place at the Burnsville Inn & Suites, KSTP confirmed.
Officers responded to a call around 6:35 p.m. in the area of Burnsville Parkway and Aldrich Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased victim, whose identity has not been released. A male suspect was arrested a short time later.

Shortly before 8 p.m., Burnsville police said the scene was still active and asked the public to avoid the area, but they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
