Hope Walz, the 23-year-old daughter of Minnesota governor and former Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz, and a familiar face on the campaign trail, is drawing attention online with a video about the election results.
In a video posted to her TikTok page, Hope is seen lounging on her couch, eating SpongeBob mac and cheese and watching a show as she provides her post-election reaction.
“I’ve officially reached the point of anger, and I’m not an angry person,” she proclaimed. “This country does not deserve Kamala Harris. That woman should go live her best life wherever she wants, doing whatever she wants, because we don’t deserve her at this point.”

Hope went on to praise Black women for their role in the election, while lamenting that “we failed them,” before turning her ire toward JD Vance and Donald Trump.
“These people have to live in their own skin, as in JD Vance and Donald Trump have to be JD Vance and Donald Trump, and that is not a punishment I would wish upon anybody except those two individuals,” she said.
The 23-year-old also took time to praise her values, stating, “I’m just really grateful that I am who I am and that I’m on the side of love and hope and joy and progress.”
She wrapped up by vowing to grieve the results for a week before launching into action.
“We got this. America’s gonna be OK.”
She then posted another video standing by her comments but said she hopes Trump and Vance will succeed.
“I don’t want them to fail. I want them to succeed,” she said. “I don’t hold any hate in my heart. I pray for Donald Trump and JD Vance and their success and their ability to help all Americans.”
Hope played a visible role in the Harris-Walz campaign’s efforts to connect with Gen Z voters.
