President Donald Trump took aim at Rep. Ilhan Omar in a fiery Truth Social post Tuesday, calling her out for her long record of anti-American statements and questioning why someone “from a failed country” is so eager to criticize the United States.
In the post, Trump blasted progressive lawmakers including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett, but reserved some of his sharpest criticism for Omar.
“… Ilhan Omar, who does nothing but complain about our Country, yet the Failed Country that she comes from doesn’t have a Government, is drenched in Crime and Poverty, and is rated one of the WORST in the World, if it’s even rated at all. How dare ‘The Mouse’ tells us how to run the United States of America,” Trump wrote.

Trump points to Omar as symbol of far-left extremism
Trump has frequently spotlighted Omar’s remarks as evidence of the modern Democratic Party’s far-left, anti-patriotic agenda.
As of publication, Omar, who was born in Somalia, has not responded directly to Trump’s comments on Truth Social.
However, she did react after a tense exchange between Trump and reporters Tuesday morning outside the White House, where Trump was asked about both Iran and Israel violating terms of the current ceasefire.
Trump, appearing frustrated, said of the situation: “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f— they’re doing.”
Omar quickly responded on X.
No, Mr. President — you don’t know what you’re doing.
And while you're playing confused referee, Netanyahu is running circles around you with our tax dollars.
Americans are watching this all unfold and realizing you’re in over your head and we’re paying for it in billions. https://t.co/Z1RbqoIka2

“No, Mr. President — you don’t know what you’re doing,” she tweeted. “And while you’re playing confused referee, Netanyahu is running circles around you with our tax dollars. Americans are watching this all unfold and realizing you’re in over your head and we’re paying for it in billions.”
The exchange adds to the growing list of clashes between Trump and members of the “Squad.”
