Four months ago, I reminded the Jen Psaki haters that the new Republican-bashing White House press secretary was going to be worse than her predecessor, and we’d miss Psaki by comparison.
Despite softballs from 95% of the press corps at each gathering, Karine Jean-Pierre still comes across incompetent and pedantic.
Recently, Ted Cruz invited President Joe Biden to finally visit the United States-Mexico border and see the fiasco this White House created and now ignores. The Texas senator often craves attention, though this was a reasonable suggestion.
But in response, Jean-Pierre snapped, “I certainly don’t need lectures or invitations from Republicans about the border or border policies.”
Say what?
Oh yes, in 2018 while the Trump administration was “tearing babies out of their mothers’ arms,” she apparently visited on behalf of the radical leftists from moveon.org.
That tall tale offered no plan, of course. Jean-Pierre must still think she works for MSNBC. More innocent lives will be ruined or sadly end because of the Biden administration’s utterly cruel lack of policy.
Earlier this month, she laughingly argued that Democrats — yes, the party of teachers unions and shutdowns — reopened schools “in spite of Republicans.”
This was high-level gaslighting on a generational catastrophe.
Since no major media outlet would, Fox News fact-checked and easily debunked her claim that their “American Rescue Plan” led to school reopenings, since states and local districts tapped into a paltry 12% of the program’s funds.
Her statement is counter to everything Americans witnessed, with red state leaders reopening schools far more quickly than blue states.
Right after Labor Day, Fox’s Peter Doocy confronted the “glass shattering” press secretary about her past conspiratorial tweets, saying former President Donald Trump and current Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp both stole their election wins.

With her boss and so many Democrats crowing lately about “semi-fascists” who question election results, Doocy wondering “If denying election results is extreme now, why wasn’t it then?” seems very appropriate.
Jean-Pierre, who’s likely not been challenged much in her life due to her quadruple woke credentials — black, female, gay, left-wing — smirked and quipped that she knew this question was coming.
Fair enough. So she had a rock-solid answer, right?
“Let’s be really clear, that comparison you made is just ridiculous,” the secretary told Doocy.
That’s it?
So when KJP or Stacey Abrams or Hillary Clinton deem an election is stolen or rigged, that’s fine; but when some Republicans do it, it’s a “threat to democracy”?
We simply are denied answers every time Jean-Pierre stands at the lectern.
Are over 74 million people incipient fascists or just those who rushed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6? And why did Democrats spend over $50 million this year to promote those supposed democracy deniers in the GOP primaries?
Nobody can know, as the story and daily grievance constantly changes.
Like her predecessors, Jean-Pierre’s job as spokesperson is not easy. Biden consistently opines in a duplicitous and tortuous fashion. She then must translate his gobbledygook, though you’d think a communications team would be slightly less convoluted.
Psaki undeniably had a strange relationship with honesty; however, when she put words together, they usually came out coherently. Even for a risible administration that’s hampered our military, police, the economy, the southern border, our foreign allies, the energy sector, gun owners, schoolchildren, and the legislative process, we deserve better.
