Minneapolis Store “Shaking Things up” for Veterans

After learning that the number of wounded veterans in America is in the tens of thousands, one Minneapolis business owner decided to “shake things up” at his shop to help out America’s vets.

Owner of Go-4 Nutrition Curt Wright says that for the month of August he’ll be donating a portion of his sales to the Wounded Warrior Project, saying, “I learned about the Wounded Warrior Project a couple months ago and thought this would be a great way to give back to the community.”

The Wounded Warrior Project is an organization helping Veterans suffering from physical injuries and mental illnesses resulting from deployment.  Wright says this promotion gives a portion of each sale to the Project, saying, “ten cents of every ‘meal deal’ gets sent to them, every five cents of every shake.  We are going to be running this promotion all of August and in both shops so they can stop in and get a good meal replacement shake, get a protein shake, and help our wounded warriors.”

The Wounded Warrior Project estimates more than 48,000 servicemen and women have been physically injured in recent military conflicts, with an estimated 400,000 veterans suffering from combat-related stress and PTSD.  The promotion will run for the entire of month of August at both of Go-4 Nutrition’s locations in the Dinkytown and Como neighborhoods.
