Democrat State Rep. Brad Tabke Outright Lies In Public Forum Meeting

It is expected that Rep. Brad Tabke will run for re-election in 2020 in what was once considered a solidly Republican district.

In a public meeting scheduled by Democrat Rep. Brad Tabke over the weekend, he met with several concerned people that are seeking to use Article 5 of the United States Constitution to call a Convention of States. The Convention of States movement, in moving to call a Convention of States, is trying to adopt, among other things, a Balanced Budget Amendment and Term Limits.

At the public meeting held at the Shakopee Library, in a bizarre twist to seemingly appeal to people, Democrat Rep. Brad Tabke made a wildly outrageous claim to attendees that he had nearly a half a million dollars spent against him in his 2018 election according to reports of the meeting.

The Minnesota Campaign Finance Board (CFB) produces public reports about expenditures for and against candidates. When Alpha News reviewed the CFB report – the Independent Expenditures spent ‘Against’ then-candidate Brad Tabke – it only shows a measly $13,857.79 in money spent ‘Against’ him. A far cry from his outlandish claim of nearly a half million dollars.

To try to piece together a semblance of something that could make sense of this claim, Alpha News reviewed overall spending within the district in 2018. Even if considering all expenditures from all reporting parties within the district, including Republican Party primary spending, the numbers come hundreds of thousands of dollars woefully short.

What makes the comments from Tabke even more egregious is that his party vastly outspends conservatives in Minnesota.

As a freshman representative Brad Tabke, he has mostly followed the new liberal agenda set by the new wing of self described socialist democrats. This year he proposed or voted for: A gas tax increase, drivers licenses for illegal immigrants, gun control measures, government takeover of healthcare, massive 3 billion dollar budget increase and more.

It is expected that Rep. Brad Tabke will run for re-election in 2020 in what was once considered a solidly Republican district.
