An Edina resident has been charged with first-degree kidnapping after a missing Iowa teen was found with him in St. Paul last week.

Luis Alfredo Moreira Bravo, 26, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and St. Paul police last week after Muscatine Iowa police learned that a missing 14-year-old girl from that city had become involved with Bravo through social media.

According to a Quad Cities media report on the charge, the girl’s family reported her missing on May 6.

After involving the FBI, the girl was tracked to Minnesota and found with Bravo in St. Paul on the afternoon of May 7.

Bravo was taken into custody and charged in Iowa with kidnapping and may also face charges in Minnesota.

The incident continues to be investigated by the Muscatine Police Department, FBI, and the St. Paul Police Department.
