In a loss to Minnesota, Fleet Farm has announced that it will move its headquarters from Brainerd, Minnesota to Appleton, Wisconsin.
Fleet Farm was considered one of Minnesota’s most iconic companies since its founding in 1955. Mills Companies was founded by Stewart C, Mills Sr, when he purchased Lively Auto Company in 1922.
70 jobs are going to be transferred from Brainer to Appleton. This comes as another round of bad news since Minnesota was named the least tax-friendly state in the United States.
Minnesota has seen large employers leave the state recently. Most recently another large employer Mosaic moved to Florida.
