A Roseville Area High School student was arrested Tuesday after bringing a gun on campus, according to an email sent to families by principal Jen Wilson.
Wilson said school staff were informed around 1 p.m. that a gun was on campus and the school was placed on a “hold,” during which “students and staff remained in their classrooms without moving through the hallways.”
Roseville police then conducted a search; they recovered a gun and detained a student, according to Wilson.
“This is the information we have at this point. We are continuing to work with the police on the situation but we wanted to let families understand the reason for the hold,” she said. “From a school perspective, our next step for the student involved will be to follow our disciplinary action, which has a number of potential results up to and including expulsion.”
Two students were arrested and charged for bringing guns to school on the same day in separate incidents late last month.
