The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) has endorsed Republican candidates Jason Lewis and Tyler Kistner in their campaigns to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate and Congress.
On Tuesday, the NRLC endorsed Lewis and Kistner, who both face staunchly pro-abortion opponents. Kistner’s opponent, Rep. Angie Craig of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, was endorsed by Planned Parenthood in 2018. U.S. Sen. Tina Smith, Lewis’s opponent, has blocked legislation that would protect babies born alive during an abortion and previously worked as an executive for Planned Parenthood.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the National Right to Life Committee PAC. As the nation’s oldest and largest pro-Life group, NRLC has been in the trenches fighting for the rights of the unborn for many years, and I look forward to working with them,” said Kistner.
“The contrast in this race couldn’t be clearer. Angie Craig and the Democrats support infanticide. It’s time for the Second District to have a representative who won’t use their position to play politics and support radical legislation,” he continued, noting that he would vote to “cut off all federal funding” of Planned Parenthood.
Honored to be endorsed by @nrlc.

Unlike fmr Planned Parenthood exec @TinaSmithMN, who made a fortune off of providing abortions, I will protect life!

Lewis has earned pro-life recognition from his time as a congressman representing the Second District. During his run against Craig in 2018, he received a 0% rating from Planned Parenthood, and late last year the abortion giant accused him of being “too extreme” for Minnesota.
“Congressman Lewis had a pro-life voting record during his term in Congress,” said Carol Tobias, president of the NRLC. “He supports compassionate proposals to safeguard unborn children and their mothers from the pain of abortion.”
“We look forward to working with Jason Lewis to protect the most vulnerable members of the human family,” Tobias added.
The National Right to Life Committee is the oldest and largest pro-life organization in America and works to promote its pro-life goals through both education and legislation.
