The largest abortion rights PAC in the nation Emily’s List has pledged to spend $20,000,000 dollars in targeted states including Minnesota to protect pro-abortion right legislators and defeat pro-life candidates.
Minnesota was specifically highlighted as a targeted state. On the official website Minnesota US Senator Tina Smith is highlighted with the ask of “Support Our Senators”
MPR reports that “The group spent more than $63,000 on Minnesota races in the 2018 midterm election. It’s one of the dozens of third-party groups that are trying to influence state elections next fall.”
Recent abortion court-cases and redistricting have energized Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion rights group to get active in Minnesota for 2020.
In order to earn the well-funded support, Minnesota Democrats have embraced radical abortion policies.
