Police: Woman hospitalized in Golden Valley drive-by shooting

A woman was hospitalized and is now in stable condition after sustaining two gunshot wounds during a drive-by shooting Saturday night in Golden Valley, according to police.

Police said they were dispatched to a report of a drive-by shooting in the area of Duluth Street and Regent Avenue North at 8:35 p.m. They said the incident involved two vehicles and multiple shots were fired.

Initial reports said the victim was in critical condition. The suspect vehicle fled the area going eastbound on Golden Valley Road. The vehicle was described as a light-colored sedan with yellow headlights that was possibly occupied by two individuals.

Police said they can’t release any additional information because the incident remains under active investigation.
