Multiple sources have identified Vance Luther Boelter as a suspect in the Minnesota political assassination that occurred during the early morning hours on June 14.

Rep. Melissa Hortman, DFL-Brooklyn Park, and her husband Mark were killed in shootings. Sen. John Hoffman, DFL-Champlin, and his wife Yvette were each shot multiple times but are alive.

Boelter’s political appointment

According to documentation, Boelter was appointed to the “Governor’s Workforce Development Council” as a “private sector representative” in 2016 under former Gov. Mark Dayton and in 2019 under Gov. Tim Walz.

Boelter identified as ‘Director of Security Patrols’

Boelter has also been identified as the “Director of Security Patrols” for a security company named Praetorian Guard Security Services.

The vehicle that was reportedly used by Boelter was seen being towed away.

Social media accounts for Vance Luther Boelter, age 57, have been taken down. Sources told Alpha News that Boelter was wearing a mask.

Boelter’s manifesto and ‘hit list’

Sources also said he had a list with the names of other Democratic politicians and Planned Parenthood locations in his vehicle.

‘No Kings’ protest materials found in vehicle

Law enforcement officials later urged the public not to attend the “No Kings” protests that were planned to be held in several locations in Minnesota. Materials related to the protests were found in the suspect’s vehicle, according photos and information published by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other state officials initially provided an update on the incidents around 9:30 a.m. on June 13, but did not specifically identify a suspect or suspects at that time.

As of publication, a manhunt was underway and no suspects had been taken into custody.

This is a developing story.
