Alpha News recently sat down with David Hann, the new chair of the Minnesota GOP, to discuss his plans for the party.
Hann served as Minnesota Senate minority leader as part of his 14-year career in the Legislature representing Eden Prairie. Earlier this year, he was elected to lead the state party, replacing the disgraced Jennifer Carnahan.
Hann explained to Alpha News that when he assumed the chair position about five weeks ago, the party only had two full-time staffers — but he says he’s hard at work bringing more people on board. One of these new hires is an executive director from Kentucky whose name will be announced soon.
Although Hann says he “walked into a situation that was very bare bones,” the party has “made a lot of progress” towards rebuilding.
