In a lengthy interview with Politico, Minnesota Congressman Peterson said he has not determined if he will be a candidate in 2020.
Peterson is a Democrat who represents a district that is expected to vote in support of President Trump. Recently citizens have begun to express concern with what they see as Peterson’s lack of leadership when it comes to the Democrat leadership pushing to impeach President Trump.
In a sign that Republicans see Peterson is a very vulnerable incumbent a TV Ad was launched asking Collin Peterson to take a stand against the “Nancy Pelosi Drug Plan”.
Former Luitenant Governor Michelle Fischbach and 2018 Republican Candidate for Congress Dave Hughes are competing for the Republican Endorsement that will help determine which candidate will end up running against Peterson if he chooses to seek reelection.
