Plechash has been involved in Minnesota politics since 2004, serving in roles such as precinct chairman, congressional district vice chair, and RNC committeeman. He is a veteran and a graduate of both the U.S. Naval Academy and University of Chicago.
The Minnesota DFL did not congratulate Plechash on his election but instead attributed his victory to “far-right activists.”
Plechash and the Republican Party of Minnesota did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
