As Minnesota Democrats in the Minnesota House pass a 20 cent gas tax increase another poll shows strong opposition to the large tax increase.

Center of the American has partnered with the well respected polling firm Meeting Street Research to release another set of scientific public opinion poll results.

The poll shows that that 60% of Minnesota residents disapprove of the Democrat proposal to increase the gas tax roughly 300$/year per family.

Recently the Chamber of Commerce released a poll that also had the disapproval of the gas tax proposal at 60%. Both polls show that the farther someone lives from Minneapolis the more they are opposed to the gas tax increase.

Despite the polls, Minnesota Democrats have indicated that they do not intend to compromise on their support for the gas tax increase.
