Commentary: Pro-abortion activists terrorize facilities that help pregnant women

Attacking crisis pregnancy centers is not only illegal, but spreads fear, and hinders the crucial work they do to provide valuable parenting tools and desperately-needed resources.

The powerful abortion lobby recently celebrated the annual number of abortions in the United States increasing by nearly 10% from 2017 to 2020, ending a three-decade decline in the American abortion rate. In the tragic year of 2020, one in five pregnancies ended in abortion.

Last week, the crime-ridden city of Minneapolis saw a pro-life office attacked by vicious vandals, while earlier this month, in the left-wing North Carolina town of Asheville, a pregnancy center was defaced with “if abortions aren’t safe, neither are you” sprayed across the building, alongside other hateful messages.

Leading Democrats, as usual, placed politics first. Just as President Joe Biden has been conspicuously silent on the assassination attempt of a sitting Supreme Court justice, his party is muted on the aforementioned abominable actions; if anything, Democrats ignited this.

Just recall Senate Leader Chuck Schumer’s infamous “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price” video.

Activists have followed Schumer’s caustic rhetoric with several terrorist acts against pro-life and especially apolitical crisis pregnancy centers.

Violent radical groups like “Jane’s Revenge” and “Ruth Sent Us” associate these vital organizations with Roe v. Wade, but they’re too ill-informed to realize the centers are not political; they actually help vulnerable women.

They offer pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, counseling, and other services, including diapers and baby formula.

Whereas Planned Parenthood turns away women who request help in order to perform as many abortions as possible, benighted activists, fueled by media misinformation, destroy facilities that provide critical aid to women.

When not worrying about left-wing zealots, crisis centers and pro-life organizations are creating new services to help pregnant women, most of whom admit they’d prefer not to abort “if their life circumstances were different.”

Democrats are fond to claim pro-life groups “do not care about babies once born;” that’s a myth disproven by everyday life, if they only looked around.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America has an initiative called “Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance” to help pregnant women find the medical and social support they need, including local resources and child care offerings.

Human Coalition Action is working to pass Every Mother Matters legislation, which endeavors to ensure access to assistance programs for at-risk pregnant women. The organization also developed an app to connect women with local centers to ease their access to necessary items.

Other creative ways of meeting needs for women include programs to “sponsor a baby,” which provide free advice for expectant moms, support groups, and counselors willing to help navigate the process.

These solutions are the definition of kindness and exemplify how programs can exist without partisan politics.

Attacking crisis pregnancy centers is not only illegal, but spreads fear, and hinders the crucial work they do to provide valuable parenting tools and desperately-needed resources. They are the epitome of pro-female, pro-child generosity.

The left wants to literally destroy them, while the Biden-Harris-Schumer-Pelosi wing wants to ignore the worsening domestic terror.
